George Lang believes that a good job is the key to achieving the American Dream. As our State Senator, he is focused on making it easier for businesses to grow and create jobs. When businesses thrive, opportunities are created and families prosper.

As a small business owner who has helped create businesses that now employ over 100 people, George Lang has the know-how to help grow our economy. He founded the Business First Caucus and has been recognized as a “Guardian of Small Business” by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) in Ohio. George’s goal is to make Ohio the most business-friendly state in America, so that everyone can find opportunity here in Butler County.
Limiting the Size and
Cost of Government
Government must live within its means. George believes that governments should focus on their core competencies: infrastructure, public safety, and other vital services.
Fiscally responsible leadership at the local level has prepared Butler County to weather economic downturns and maintain public services. George is working to bring this “Butler County model” to Columbus.
George has consistently fought to cut taxes and lower spending. Most recently, he voted to cut Ohioans’ taxes by $3 billion. He is also focused on reducing the cost and complexity of government by eliminating burdensome regulations.
Lang is also focused on limiting the scope and power of government. He wrote the law that will protect Ohio businesses from forced closure during a future state of emergency. Government shouldn’t have the ability to pick winners and losers by designating which businesses are essential. He will always defend the right of every business to operate and flourish in our state.
Keeping Our Communities Safe
Our first responders put their lives in harm’s way to keep us safe; George believes we should have their backs. During his tenure as Chairman of the Ohio House Criminal Justice Committee, he worked to protect victims and ensure that those who commit crimes are held accountable. In the Senate, he’s voted to increase funding for law enforcement, including expanded emergency response capabilities.
Defending Our Values
George is a proud husband and father who will fight for our families and our values in the State Senate. George Lang is forever grateful that his mother chose life. As a legislator, he has consistently voted to protect the innocent lives of the unborn, previously earning the endorsement of Ohio Right to Life. He is also an ardent defender of our Second Amendment rights. A concealed-carry holder, he has an “A rating” from the NRA and has previously been endorsed by Buckeye Firearms Association.
