George Lang fights and wins for Butler County.

Republican State Senator George Lang is serving his first term in the Ohio Senate, having been elected in November 2020. He represents the 4th Senate District, which includes the majority of Butler County.

George Lang believes in the American Dream because he is living the American Dream. He is the grandson of a Cuban immigrant and spent time in foster care as a child. His upbringing taught him the rewards and value of hard work and perseverance. He started his first business in his early teens by setting up a lawn mowing business and getting other kids in his neighborhood to join him.

Lang graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1985 with a major in Communications and a double minor in Marketing and Speech. He worked for eight years in various sales and managerial positions at Procter & Gamble, and then left to start his own business, the Lang Agency Inc., one of several companies that he owns today.

In 2003, George successfully ran for West Chester Township Trustee to provide the township with stable leadership. On George’s watch, West Chester was named One of America’s Best Places to Live multiple times by Money magazine. He ushered the township through the Great Recession by governing as a fiscal conservative. West Chester was a leader in the region for new jobs and wage growth, and maintained a high level of quality service even as the State of Ohio made cuts to the Local Government Fund.

In September 2017, George was appointed to serve as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, where he founded the Business First Caucus to help small businesses in Ohio thrive and become more successful. His goal is to make Ohio the most business-friendly state in the nation. He continues to pursue that mission today as our State Senator.

Lang and his high school sweetheart, Debbie, have been married for 39 years. They have two daughters, Amy and Alicia, and live in West Chester. We can count on George to stand firm for our conservative values and deliver results on the issues that matter most.
