Republican State Representative George Lang Announces Candidacy for Ohio Senate
HAMILTON – Conservative State Representative George Lang (R-West Chester) announced that he will seek the Republican nomination for Ohio’s 4th Senate District. Lang, a business owner who is currently in his second term in the Ohio House of Representatives, represents Ohio’s 52nd House District and previously served as West Chester Township Trustee for 15 years.
“My record speaks for itself – I’m a fiscal conservative who has helped make Butler County a leader in job growth and increased wages,” Lang said. “I have dedicated my public and private life to making sure our families, communities, and businesses can thrive and I will advance those priorities in the Ohio Senate.”
Representative Lang was introduced at the announcement by Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones, who is endorsing Lang’s candidacy.
“Today, it gives me great pleasure to be here and support George Lang, our leader in the House and our soon-to-be Senator,” said Sheriff Jones. “In the Statehouse, George has kept us safe. He’s fought the battles on immigration, on crime, for extra police, extra fire – he’s done it all. And we can’t do it without him.”
In his last election, George Lang was endorsed by the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, the Ohio Society of CPAs, and the National Federation of Independent Business. Additionally, Lang was endorsed by Ohio Right to Life and maintains a 100% pro-life voting record, including co-sponsorship of Ohio’s Heartbeat bill.
Lang and his high school sweetheart, Debbie, have been married for over 35 years. Together, they have two daughters, Amy and Alicia. George and Debbie reside in West Chester.
